the rare serpulid reefs found here. You can find out more about
these reefs at the Scottish Sealife and Marine Sanctuary a few
miles north of Seabank.
The Scottish Wildlife Trust look after a native deciduous woodland
at Shian, on the south shore of Loch Creran, within the Lynn of
Lorn National Scenic Area. This is next door to Seabank and offers
walking trails where a full range of woodland birds can be found
including: buzzard, woodcock, redstart and sedge warbler. There
is a regularly occupied badger sett and many roe deer.
Scottish Natural Heritage own the National Nature Reserve of
Glasdrum Wood, on the north side of Loch Creran. This ancient
woodland has wonderful trails to wander along and offers a chance
to spot a variety of butterflies.
